The Eastwood Hi-Flyer Johnny Ramone version is a beautiful reproduction of the Univox Hi-Flyer from the early 1970’s, but with a stop tail. The carved Basswood body is mounted to a set maple neck for an incredibly solid design that can take as much abuse as you can throw at it. Two powerful P90 pickups kick out an incredible bite for the buck. Available in Black, White and White left-hand.

I am a current owner of an Eastwood Hi-Flyer. A White Tail-Stop which I bought after getting a Hi Flyer Bass. I have seen this thing compared ro the Univox Hi-Flyer. And with playing a Univox the Hi Flyer is leaps and bounds better than the Univox. Plays and sound much much better.
After playing the Eastwood I can honestly plays more like an SG jr than it does a Univox or anything else. And I mean that in a good way. Very cool guitar .
I am the current owner of a Black Eastwood Hi Flyer. I got it new in 2008 w/a stop-tail from the Eastwood Dealer here. I replaced the stoptail with a Bigsby B5 Vibrato and mounted it on a VIBRA-MATE and also put Gotoh teardrop tuners on it for an accurate “Mosrite” feel/look. This guitar sounds AND plays GREAT!!! I have read the negative reviews/comments & NONE of them apply to this guitar. Gigworthy? Absolutely, it sits next to a 1991 Strat Plus and a 1983 G&L SC2. It stays in tune. It sounds close to a Jaguar with “Klunk”. The pickups are wonderful! I bought an SG jr new in 1964, this plays just as good & similarly. Very cool & good guitar. Graet value.
